Celebrate Pac-Man's 25th anniversary with the latest in the popular series, Pac-Man World 3! In a mad search for power, evil genius Erwin creates a machine that can penetrate into the world of the Ghosts...the Spectral Realm! But now the Spectral Realm is collapsing into the real world, and this will bring about a massive catastrophe that will plunge the world into a state of devastation for years to come! After mysteriously having been transported out of Pac-Village and into this strange and different land, it is up to Pac-Man to uncover Erwin's plot and save the world. Along the way, Pac-Man will meet a host of unexpected "old friends," and in order to defeat the ultimate enemy, he might just have to turn his old foes into allies! Features: New story puts Pac-Man into a strange new world, leading him to the mysterious Spectral Realm. Control the ghosts--special feature now allows players to control Pinky and Clyde. Store an arsenal of power-ups like the Power Ribbon, Time Decelerator, Electro-Charge, Chrome Power, and Super Butt Bounce--and super-charge them by collecting special fruits! Get transported into classic 2-D and 3-D Pac-Man mazes to compete for bonuses. New Pac-Man moves: now you can climb fences, jump up walls, swing around poles, and punch enemies! Includes the original Pac-Man arcade game from 1980!
If you loved the last one, you'll love this one. THis is not as good as Mario. Mario seems to spank everyone in this area due to two major factors. The levels and action is very creative, and the graphics are fun. Now, that said. Pac-Man World 3 is way good. It is not as creative or pretty as Mario but it is close on both accounts. The controls handle very well. And they have even thrown in a bit of old school pac-man emulation. There are over 14 levels in this game, most of which will engage you. If you loved the last pac man world game. You will love this one. This is more of the same which is fine by me. Wocka wocka wocka! This game is great! Considering that when games come out with a $30.00 price tag they usually aren't very well made. This game does have camera issues, though. That's pretty much the only problem in my opinion. The voice acting (Pac Man has a voice!) is unique as Pac Man has obviously never talked before. This is a must buy for Pac Fans! Great Game This game is very fun and loaded with fights, adventures and puzzles. I had PMW2 and I have to say that I will never play it again. The good: -The 15 levels are amazing! they are long but they don't get you bored however. You will have to solve some puzzles and/or defeat waves of ghosts before you can continue to the next area of a level, just like Devil May Cry (A ghostly door opens when you have dealt with them) -Fights are now fights! You can punch your enemies, do the classic rev roll and butt-bounce was improved. Also they added different power pellets. -No more abuse of extra lifes, unlike PMW2. Here you have to take care of your lifes. -Mazes are better and they have more features, like speeding up, you can eat a pellet that will freeze the ghost for a few seconds, an insect (wich can be eaten) would appear and drop more pacdots if you last too much, so you will have to eat them too if you want to complete the maze. -Good graphics and sounds. -Characters have voices now and the cinematics are cool, especially when Pac-Man comes up with one of his funny lines when he argues with someone. -The music is very good too, it makes you feel like you are on an adventure, unlike PMW2 wich had incredibly childish and silly music. The bad: -Some camera issues. -Gets laggy sometimes. -Has less minigames than PMW2. -Load game feature is only accesible throught the options menu, wich made me think that you couldn't have more than one save game, till I found it. However it will ask you if you want to load a game when you start up. -Eating pac-dots is just useless. They aren't even counted and they wont heal you after eating 50 of them like in PMW2. To conclude, the game is very fun and makes you wanna keep on it despite its flaws. Don't worry about them, you'll get over it on the firsts days.
